SEVA 2023 (Spiritual Education & Volunteer Activities)

              Youth Engagement Program for High School Students and college students.

General Eligibility:

• Incoming and Current High Schoolers and Youth till age 30yrs.
• All participants should always exhibit commitment to act with integrity and discipline

Program Dates:

• May 15th – September 30th.

Selection Criteria:

• Enrolled students will be considered on a first-come, first-serve basis
• Open to all nationalities, religious, and ethnic backgrounds

Registration Fee:

• $10 per volunteer.

Commitment:

• As a part of the SEVA program, young adults are provided with opportunities to participate in and/or lead various activities.
• Earn volunteering hours.
• ISKCON Chicago Temple will provide certificates and recommendations for Volunteer Service Award (VSA) for qualified participants.

Sample List of Activities:

1. Welcome committee.
2. Cooking help for larger communities during various events and festivals
3. Prasad (Sanctified Food) distribution
4. Teaching young children and youth Vedic literature
5. Holistic and scientific methods of support during difficult times
6. Offering help during outdoor gathering and events
7. Maintaining life balance
8. Mantra Meditation
9. Book stalls and book distribution.
10. Seminars and outreach and much more..
